Funnier way to end AND she dies

I think a funnier ending (even with the death of Susan) would have been for George to react the opposite way that he did. If he would have gone into a fit because "I loved her Jerry, I really loved her", and went on and on about how the two of them were perfect together, that would have been funny. It also would have fit into his character. (ie, freaking out about every decision, lying, lamenting, etc) Maybe a closing shot of him watching "Mad about You" re-runs crying to himself.

But that would have been too expected. George is always freaking out, changing his mind after it's all over. The ending they used was much more bizarre.. George is Supposed to Sob and Cry, but instead he pulls an UnGeorge.. he doesn't say anything.

George is the most important character of the nineties.
