Its called satire, people

I am more than a little puzzled at the harsh reaction to the finale.

Doesn't anybody appreciate satire, and even some irony? This show was very well written - it poked fun at us Internet "supposers", and more importantly the show itself. It poked fun at all of the hype. It poked fun at clip shows. It even managed to leave possibilities for the future open, although I am under the impression that Jerry was taunting those who thought the surprise twist would be that the show wasn't ending, after all.

While I was not in hysterics as I was for some of the true classics, this show was a fitting finale for a show about nothing. It was THE essence of Seinfeld, and I can't help but wonder if the naysayers got what the show was all about.

Hey there's an idea. Let's start a club for fake fans of the show.;) Count me in as a charter member, I enjoyed the show all along until the finale.

They didn't even say goodbye.

I couldn't agree with you more. I thought that it was a totally fitting end to the show--as someone else here said, they paid for their "crimes against humanity." Hysterical? No. Ironic? Hell yeah, and I love it.

The only thing I would have like to have seen done differently was the ending during the credits. They should have scrapped that totally and just let it end with the four of them in the cell, talking about the button. The whole series, to me, felt complete at that moment.

The Apple ad was cool, too.
