Syndication Cuts?!

not sure if anyone has noticed this...but just about every episode played on FOX and TBS have been cut for time and to add more commercials

not much just a couple lines here and there....the big notice i had was when i watched "The Comeback" Originally in this episode George is eating the shrimp for the first time and then the guy makes his joke "the ocean called they are running out of shrimp" then they goto jerry and george discussing it....however on FOX they cut out that whole initial bit...they start with Jerry and George discussing the joke.....

That is the perfect example of them cutting the show up for more commericals....

or is it just me?

I don't know why syndication seems to hold so much power in the US, they blatantly change the programme. I suppose this is already agreed in some contract or other but I still wouldn't like it if it was my programme.

Yep, this is a well-known issue and has been discussed at length in this newsgroup. A search at Google Groups shows it's been a frequent topic of discussion since the mid-1990's.

The cut which sticks in my mind the most is in "The Barber." Before the last commercial break, Jerry seeks revenge on Newman for clipping a sample of his hair for Enzo. We see Jerry confront him in the barber shop, and he picks up an electric razor, as Newman cowers. In the original complete network broadcast of this episode, after all the credits have rolled, Newman is shown talking on the phone with Kramer. His head is completely bald. Bald-bald! You can catch a fleeting glimpse of this shot in "The Clip Show."

Another one: There was an episode in which Kramer says that if he were to have a child he'd name it Isosceles. Or have I been consistently missing that episode whenever it comes up in the syndication rotation? Please help me out with this nagging question.
