...was on last nite and I've seen it a thousand times and, even though it was a little creaky, I'd still rather see it than many episodes from the last two seasons. I just love watching George and Jerry talk. I could watch that for hours! That is the absolute best thing about SEINFELD for me! Just those two guys talking about nonsense!

The first episode was great, as a piece of Seinfeld history, but compared to the body of work as a whole, it was absolutely subpar. Besides, I liked George more when Jason stopped being Woody Allen and started being George Costanza. ;-)
isn't the first episode called 'THE SEINFELD CHRONICLES' not 'Good News Bad News' ?
The show was originally named "The Seinfeld Chronicles" (changed after the pilot). The name of the episode was always "Good News Bad News".
