The Season So Far

I'm not nervous so far about the new season. I would urge all to head the words of others who emphasized - It's only the first two episodes! There are 23 / 24 episodes in a season, and, certainly, since Season 4 (which culminated in "The Pilot"), there have been some spotty episodes.

I'll agree that the first episode was not up to the usual Seinfeld potential; however, the Second episode, while not the best, had the little touches that add to the charm of "Seinfeld" Elaine's fickleness over having children AFTER her boyfriend has a vasectomy is in character with her George's paranoia over the briefcase culminating in his reconstruction of the room (with the Power Ranger and the M&M) The velvet scrunchie Newman's Cyrano getting distracted by a comment over Junk mail The revelation of his love of Elaine Jerry and Kramer repeating the name "Pam" repeatedly trying to find a dulcitone quality about the name. I also enjoyed that they highlighted her calves as an inportant feature (reminding me of "the eyebrows" ("Who cares about eyebrows?") in "The Fix-Up" "Elaine, you gotta have a BAAABY"

It was a better episode! I think in writing the first episode a lot was devoted to figuring out how to explain last year.

Never fear "Seinfeld" fans! The second episode was better than the first and I see the show hitting its stride (especially with its frequent allusins to past seasons)

    You are so right! "The Soul Mates" was a fabulous episode, and I
can't understand why most people didn't like it (I don't really care
why, though). I liked the premiere episode as well, maybe not as much
the second, but I still liked it.
    My favorite part of "The Soul Mates" was when George spent all day
building that model of the office. It allowed Jerry to say, "I think
this should be you" (holds up yellow M&M). I wish I had taped it!
