Assuming this isn't just a troll to elicit response..,did it ever occur to anyone that the regulars' insensitive behavior during the Puerto Rican Festival parade was NOT portrayed in a way intended to elicit admiration and sympathy? Their insensitive and selfish attitude and behavior when someone else's celebration happens to inconvenience THEM, is the whole point of that episode, as it has been so many times before. These are people who live in their own little world and to hell with everyone else...that's the central point of the humor directed at them.
This may have been a little more heavy-handed than past episodes (like the ones in which handicapped people have been maimed, and/or trashed the protagonists' cars)... but it's clear that the targets of this episode were Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer...and specifically, the way they represent the self-absorbed insensitivity of an entire gener- ation of affluent baby-boomers. That's been the main point of the show from the beginning, an unsparing and satirical look at a generation...and when the VW driver at the very end of the episode yells "Jackass" and laughs mockingly at them, it's hard not to nod in agreement (just before you laugh out loud). Jerry himself has described his TV alter- ego, and said alter-ego's friends, as "despicable"...and once again they sink to the occasion...

Sorry you were hurt by that episode. It looked to me like Kramer was just trying to put out the fire. He's never been racist before on any other episode(or any of the other characters either).

Yes. The final episode was and is crap.
But the Puerto Rico (sp) episode was good. Only near America can Political correctness mean anything. What the hell happened to people who can just laugh at anything.
Sure, it's OK to poke fun at the WHITE HONKEY, but anything else is pure sacrilege. COME ON PEOPLE, every single culture has funny elements, why is it only OK to poke fun at ANYTHING that is not minority related.
Anyway , that's beside the point, I thought that they were making fun of anyone's patriotism, not just Puerta Rico (SP). The point was ......a perfectly innocent event turned into a MAJOR incident, not just here on the net, but with every DORK that objected to it.

Those 4 elements make the finale a classic IMO. It was very clever.
