Superman and Seinfeld

Who on the Seinfeld team is a Superman fan? One episode Jerry has a girlfriend named Louise and they play the superman bit the whole way through. In another episode Jerry says that the bralless girl is Elaine's Lex Luther." In the episode where the reporter from NYU thinks Jerry and Gorge are gay Jerry tells the reporter that he liked her because she reminded him of Louis Lane. And Jerry has a Superman statue on the shelves by his computer. There are probably more references to Superman but these are four off the top of my head.

You must be new to "Seinfeld!" It is well known that Jerry is an ardent Superman fan. He dated that girl Lois (not Louise or Louis) because he liked saying things like "I'll think of something, Lois," a la Superman/Clark Kent.

In fact, in the episode with the female Asian lawyer who is dating George but gets interested in Jerry because she thinks he's "dark and disturbed," George exclaims in surprise: "Dark and disturbed? His whole like revolves around Superman and cereal!"

Also, in the episode where Jerry is dating Sidra (Teri Hatcher, who ironically would go on to play Lois Lane in "Lois And Clark"), she's telling Elaine in the sauna about Jerry's weird behavior. Elaine asks, "Does he talk about Superman a lot?" and Sidra responds, "Yes, do you know him?" Elaine says, "I know his type."

I was just so thrilled to watch a show that mentioned my name so wonderfully over and over! Except for Lois Lane, the only Lois's I've ever known were friends of my mother! Lois
