Why did Kramer and Newman reverse their peephole?

Why did Kramer and Newman reverse their peephole? Won't people be able to see in and K and N would be unable to look out? Does anyone have an explanation? I missed the one they gave in the show.

I'm no Newmann but I think the Zip+4 deal only shows the Zip code area plus your neighborhood not your exact house location. Joe

They ask for zip codes so they know how their ads are doing. If they send out a flyer to my zip code, and a whole bunch of people come in, they will keep sending them to this zip code. If no one comes in, they either: Send a milion more to get the message through, or, figure "to hell with that zip code"
