So many guest stars were at their comedic best on Seinfeld. this includes real-life stars who played themselves, especially Mel Torme, Bette Midler, Marisa Tomei and (briefly) Jon Voight in the arm-biting scene. As for lesser-knowns, I really liked Charles Levin. In a series in which over-the-top acting ruled to great comic effect (think of Elaine's "Get out!" accompanied by a mighty shove), one of the best guests at it was Charles Levin as the hyped-up mohel in "The Briss". No wonder Kramer snatched the baby away before Levin could get at him!
Can we define "supporting character"? Would that be anyone beside the New York Four? If yes then I would definitely vote for Newman. The Costanzas, especially Frank, come next. I also liked Brody, the bootlegger, and that blonde employee at Peterman's who digs bad boys... :oD

My favorites would have to be Helen Seinfeld and Jacopo Peterman.
I have alot of favorite characters, but Uncle Leo just stands out a litle further. He's a an Adonis. You know... It doesnt neccesarily make a man gay .. to admit that another man can be handsome. I could have sworn that Matt McCoy, who appears as Lloyd Braun, George's competition at Frank Costanza's computer business in his garage, who turns out to be insane in S9E3 - The Serenity Now, ALSO appeared in the two episodes prior as a co-worker at PlayNow; namely, the guy George tripped with his cane in The Butter Shave and then told him to 'go to hell' in The Voice.
