Best Seinfeld Scene Ever

This will probably start a heated discussion that will have no end, but I think that one of the best scenes was the one in which Kramer was passing a kidney stone through his penis while at the circus.

He screamed with such pain the circus animals went mad. No scene since has made me laugh so hard. Also funny was his fear of clowns.

What do YOU think is the funniest scene?

I have 2 all time funniest scenes:

i) From the Opposite: when george is in the movie theater and starts screaming at the guys behind him.

ii) From the Race: The race scene at the end when Kramers car backfires and Jerry win the race to the "superman" theme.

A few that immediately come to mind:
1) Mel Torme singing to Kramer at a banquet for
    the handicapped, while Kramer had a dopey
    look after being punched out by Crazy Joe.
2) Mr. Pitts at a meeting of bottled water execs,
    looking like Adolph H.
3) The scene at Susan's parents' house,
    after the love letter from her father to
    John Cheever was read.
4) The scene where the bubble boy was
    being taken to an ambulance, after
    George bursts the bubble.
5) The scene where Elaine describes to
    Jerry how she and George were pursued
    while driving Jerry's car, and wrecked it.

After the Kramer burned down the cabin and Jerry and George were there in time to see the cabin's owner get the box with the gay love letter's in them. C.M.S.

During the NBC deal, George is fuming about how much more Ted Danson gets than him.

George: Who's he? Jerry: He's somebody. George:Then who am I? Jerry: You're nobody. George. Why him? Why not me? Jerry: He's talented. You're not. George: I'm better than him! Jerry: You're worse. Much, much worse.

I'm extremely indecisive when deciding what's "best", but one of the funniest scenes EVER was the race scene in the aptly named episode, "The Race", where Jerry has to race his high-school rival. I was on the floor with the slow-motion reactions and especially the Superman theme music playing. Jerry's bit with his girlfriend Lois ("Maybe I will, Lois. Maybe I will." *looks at camera and smiles*) afterwards was a perfect follow-up. I'm a bit more decisive with the "Best Episode" title; "The Soup Nazi" wins that crown hands down. "NO SOUP FOR YOU!!"

The Handicapped Space, and the Nazi Leader episode, both of which feature an indignant mob screaming at poor george.

I would say that the best Seinfeld scene ever is the one where Kramer is relating his experience on the bus. . . The Bus is OOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA control!!!!!!

One I really like is when George panics, thinking his girlfriend is about to hear the venomous "phone message", and to distract her, says in desperation the first thing that comes to his mind, that his father wore sneakers in the swimming pool.... (what a field day a shrink could have with that kind of free association!)

I like when George dares the punks in the movie theatre to step outside if they won't shut up, in The Opposite. And when he tells off Steinbrenner. In fact, the whole episode is a series of my favorite scenes maybe.

I still can't help laughing at that part in "Master of your Domain" when Kramer comes running in and slams down his $100 (or whatever the amount of the bet was) on the counter and says "I'm out!" What made it so funny is that he wasn't gone very long, as I remember it.

Didn't George win it. I remember in the episode where he was a hand model, and the photographers were warning him about a previous hand model who fell in love with his hands and masturbated himself out of a career, George shook his head and said, "Don't worry. I won a contest".

My 2 fav scenes are 1) when George displays the golfball he removed from the whale's blowhole and 2) when Kramer is in the bar trying to get Jerry's accountant to buy some drugs from him. I can still picture him chugging that beer while keeping a cigarette in the corner of his mouth. "Here's to feeling good all the time!"

Maybe not the funnniest, but it's a good contender. The one where pulp flies into George's eye from Jerry's grapefruit. "Pulp can move, baby!"

The look on George's face when the pulp hit his eye was unforgettable.

	the delivery.  He could make as laugh at most any

I have to say that the two scenes that make me laugh more than anything else are during The Outing and during The Soup Nazi. First Kramer suggests that Jerry *could* be gay because he's single, in his 30s and lives alone or something. And then Jerry says the samet thing about Kramer. The look on Kramer's face and the way he rushes into the hall and into his room just splits my side. But the cake goes to that scene when Kramer rushes into Jerry's room in the Soup Nazi, interrups Jerry's conversation, looks around, walks over to the couch, feels the couch pillow, straightens up and says something like "yeah" and starts to walk out. My God, I was on the floor. It was too much.

Best scene of all time? On Seinfeld? there are too many to mention... But I've always loved the subtle scenes, and the scenes where a mistake had been made. The two scenes that come to mind are both in the diner, one is where Elaine, Jerry and Kramer are sitting there, Elaine and Jerry are talking about the fungus cream Jerry had found in the girl's medicine cabinet. Kramer is busy eating when Elaine says "funguses" and Kramer, with his mouth half full corrects her, "fungi" and the look on Kramer's face nearly causes Jerry to burst out laughing. The other was when George finds the golf ball in the whale's blowhole and pulls it out in front of everyone at which time everyone looks at Kramer...

Speaking of mistakes, check out the epsiode where Jerry and Elaine are in a bakery, and Jerry is holding a black and white cookie. He keeps saying "Look to the cookie". In each different shot he is holding the cookie differently, i.e. black on the left, then black on the right, etc. I wonder if it was intentional.

Watch Jerry's face whenever he and Kramer are alone in a scene together, Kramer does something funny, and a period of silence is called for immediately after. He very rarely refrains from "losing it" to some degree.

My absolute favourite scene is the Vandelay Industries episode (I think you all know how it goes) and George runs from the the bathroom with his pants down at his ankles screaming "SAY VANDELAY! SAY VANDELAY!" and then trips over and then to top it off in terrific style, Jerry walks in to a scene with Kramer and Elaine on the couch looking at George lying flat on his face with his pants down to say "and you wanna be my latex salesman" even writing this I'm cracking up, the only other scene thats done this to me is the who's on first scene with Abbott and Costello

Anyway, didn't Jerry say something a bit more antagonistic to George, something along the lines of "You know George, I think you're at your all time low." ? Heh, the sight of him lying there, pants at his ankles, trying despirately to cover for yet another lie... Definitely a classic scene.

In that same episode, there were a few scenes that George does really well. The "running out of the bathroom" scene was priceless, but so were the "out-of-character" scenes where George pulls the kid out of the phone booth and his quick "exits" from the unemployment office, not to mention yelling at the cab driver.

Actually, it was Jerry's observant Jewish girlfriend Rachel (the same one he made out with during Schindler's list) who saw George naked. This episode is on in a few weeks and I can hardly wait for it.

Actually, the best scene is when George says: "Just because I want something for myself, does that make me so selfish?" Then Jerry goes: "Actually, that is the definition of selfish."

Also when Lawrence Tierney was on as Elaine's dad: "I knew a funny guy in 'Nam...tailgunner..got his brains blown all over the Pacific. Ain't nothin' funny about that."

Was it Elaine that saw him naked or was it some other girl staying there? I'm sure it wasn't Elaine. Elaine was asked about shrinkage later in the episode, however.

And it wasn't the cabin, it was The Hamptons.

the scene i haven't seen mentioned is the one where george is telling the gang how he saved the beached whale. the way george displayed the golf ball was classic and kramer's reaction was even better. not to mention jerry telling elaine about the death of golden boy afterwards.

I certainly would not call it (or any other scene) the best ever, but the Seinfeld moment that had me crying in my pants (!) was the moment when George got busted eating the eclair out of the garbage. O MY GOD. It was so beautifully set up -- if you'll recall George is over at his girlfriend's at a little gathering with her mother and relatives/friends. Earlier Jerry and George had some banter about how George is always so charming with his girlfriends' mothers -- 'If I could charm (?) the mothers, and have sex with the daughters, then I'd have something'. Then, at the party, he is definitely making points with the girlfriend and the mom. Then they have the girlfriend leave, and it looks for certain like they're setting it up for the mom to hit on George -- a hackneyed sitcom plot if ever there was one. George goes in the kitchen, I'm just waiting for the mom to come in to seduce him, when -- wham!, the Eclair Moment. Do I even need to say it? I was LROFL (LiterallyROFL).

Of course, it was also great how George kept looking like a bum later in the ep, as when he is witnessed wiping someone's windshield with a newspaper!

A similar classic George scene: when George was captured by the TV film crew at the Tennis, smearing Chocolate Sundae all over his face. His girlfriend broke off with him immediately afterwards...

Jerry was pissed at the laundromat owner because when Jerry had handed over his dirty laundry bag full of clothes he had a "forgotten about" hidden wad of cash in the bottom, and when the clothes were returned, the money was gone. kWhen Jerry went back to complain, the owner pointed to a sign claiming "no responsibilty" for lost items (something like that).

It was actually Kramer's idea to pour the cement into the machine, and subsequently render it destroyed and useless!

At the end of the episode, Kramer actually found the wad of cash mixed in with his own clothes (because Jerry had brought in some of Kramer's laundry at the same time of his own). This was after they had pulled the cement stunt (that the money was found)! But finding the money only made Jerry even madder because that meant that the man at the laundromat had, INDEED, mixed their (Jerry's & Kramer's) clothes toghether when Jerry had specifically requested (and paid extra money) for the clothes to be washed separately. (You know how anal and quirky Jerry can be!)

p.s. the found money had to go towards buying a new washer!

This is really difficult but I have 2:

The scene when Jerry was being interviewed by Bryant Gumble in the Puffy
Shirt and Kramers low talking girlfriend finally finds her voice and
shouts out,

from the audience at the top of her lungs.
			and

The scene where George has the Marble Rye on the fishing pole and he turns around from the window and Susan and her parents are looking at him.

This might not be the best but it's one of my favorites. It's during the Race episode when Jerry and George pretend to not have seen each other for a long time so that George can prove that Jerry didn't cheat in their high school race. After a while they start cutting each other down. When Jerry says "Boy you sure went bald there" I lost it.

George's compulsive behavior. Infact a lot of people act like him. The show do infact do a lot of these research to make George very real.

The best one is probably the one in which Jerry and Elaine go to visit Jerry's parents down in Florida. Elaine takes those pain killers that cause her to be delirious....best bit is when she meets Jerry's aunt Stella and she just screams out..."STEEEEELLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" a la Stanley Kowalski (from Streetcar Named Desire). It's hilarious.

Two notable mentions: -"These pretzels are making me thirsty!" -Vandelay (spelling?) industry with George with his pants around his ankles on Jerry's floor...

Goerge always ask questions in the most inappropriate time. During the scene Susan's cabin burnt down he ask her for the change from the toll booth. Keeps bugging Susan's cousin while she's in the delivery room! He wanted her to retract naming the offspring "Seven".

I love the scene where Kramer tell how he got the severed toe of his girlfriend to the hospital. How he kicked the mugger and George says, "You' re Batman." Then it ended by K saying that he was making all the stops and he says, "They kept ringing the bell." CLASSIC!

How about the scene where George gives out Jerry number to the unemployment agency and tells them it is the number of Vandaley Industries. Then Krammer picks up the phone and says that Jerry's apartment isn't Vandaley Industries because George is in the bathroom. So George comes running out yelling that this is Vandaley Industires and falls down because his pants are down around his ankles...

My vote goes to the "Master of Your Domain" episode;

   The scene at the very beginning where George explains how he was in his
parent's bathroom, reading a moagazine like Vanity Fair or Cosmo, the
pictures get to him, and then his mother walks in!
"So, what were you doing?"
"You know.  I was ALONE...!"
   Then George says;
"My mother started to pass out.  I could either catch her or zip up"
"What did you do?"
"I zipped up"

Two scenes later in the show were also great; When George first goes to visit his mother in the hospital which is capped off by a young woman in the adjoining bed getting a sponge bath. And when George goes back to 'see his mother' at bath time for her 'roommate' - but the adjoining patient is now a man!

*Very* funny! For the record, the scene where the patient is a man getting a sponge bath from the male nurse is from 'The Outing', which ran a few episodes after 'The Contest'. George's mother is in the hospital for her back again - she fell off the toilet when she read about George & Jerry in the newspaper.

One that still makes me laugh whenever I think of it is the episode when everyone's showerheads are replaced with watersaving heads. Everyone's hair is flat and floppy. Jerry's mother looked like a sheepdog!!

Well, after seeing "The Contest" last night, I'd have to say my favorite scene is when Elaine and Kramer had already bailed out and George and Jerry were very irritated and fighting with eachother. Jerry was yelling at everything. I guess sexual frustration got to him.

"I'm dating a virgin, I'm in this contest, something's gotta give!!"

Many great scenes in that episode. My favorite is attached as a wave file.

Kramer: I'm out! [Laughing] Elaine: What? Kramer: Yeah I'm out: I'm out of the contest! [More Laughing}

Not long after the contest was made and Him and Jerry saw the naked women accross the street (that Kramer winds up sleeping with after the show.... note in previous episode George said his life is a dream: "...., sex without dating, ....."!)

The best Seinfeld scene is when Mr. Bookman lectures Jerry about returning library books. This scene goes on for a few minutes in Jerry's apartment.

Hope I didn't get to this thread too late, but how about the (I think) final scene in the episode where George, the marine biologist, saves the whale. The end of the show when he tells the story to the gang at the coffee shop is very funny.

Without a doubt, the greatest Seinfeld scene ever is the conclusion to The Marine Biologist. Classic George, who can create a laugh even in the most unfunny writing. Also the greatest tie-in with another character that the show so often tries (and often fails) to create. This should not even be a question in my mind. "the sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man man trying to return soup in a deli..." concluding with Kramer's inquiry "...is that a Titleast?" We all remember it, we all love it. There should be no debate. "The best scene ever," in my humble opinion, should be the most classic Seinfeld scene ever. And who are more classic Seinfeld characters then George and Kramer in their prime. There are many great scenes to choose, but let's be real. The choice is clear. I would love to hear from someone whom sincerely dislikes this scene. Good day.

C'mon, when George comes out of the bathroom-shouting Vandalay Industries (to Kramer telling the Employment Agency that they have the wrong #), before he trips on his pants around his ankles. Then Jerry, with a disgusted look said, "And you want to be my latex salesman"..... I still lose control, even after seeing it a dozen times. Although at first I thought he was just OK, now he's grown on me, George is a howl. Tonite on the syndicated episode- Jerrys' overdue library book, an all time GREAT one, don't forget to tape this one!!

My favorite show was the one where Mr. Pith (spelled right?) could'nt decifer the 3D photo and Elaine ended up breaking it over her knee and getting him to that meeting where he looked like Hitler...that was classic Elaine.

I saw the episode with the library cop again last night. Even Jerry couldn't keep a straight face.

Two scenes come to mind:

1. The Red Dot episode where Kramer gets drunk on Hennigens scotch and does the commercials... George getting fired for having sex with the janitor..

• The Hamptons - classic episode.

I love the scene from the show when Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer have a bet to see who is the Master of their Domain. When Kramer comes into Jerry's apartment and slams the lost bet on the counter, I thought I was going to Die!!!

Best scene EVER: George is visiting his mother in the hospital and a cousin drops in....meanwhile a gorgeous nurse is giving an attractively sillouetted female patient a sponge bath behind the curtain, punishing poor George who is in "The Contest"...

Later that season, George once again visits his mother in the hospital, but this time a male nurse is giving a male patient a sponge bath behind the curtain--"not that there's anything wrong with that!" (The Outing)...

The way these scenes play with George's head is utterly hilarious...

Yeah, that is probably my nominee for one of the Top Ten Greatest Sit-Com Episodes of All Time.

I agree with #1 - #2 may have some of the best lines ever, "Yo Yo Ma". My favorite scene is when Kramer comes back from Yankee fantasy camp and regales the pals with his tale of brushing Mickey Mantle off the plate. Some of the best physical comedy on TV since Chevy Chase left SNL.

Saw the best episode as a whole last night. Best scene was the end, when George comes screaming out of the bathroom "Vandelais Industries! Vadelais Industries! as Kramer hangs up the phone. I wonder how Keith Hernandexz feels about being in on one of the series' best espisodes!

Although I have many favorites, I think the scene in which Jerry places the Tweety Bird Pez dispensor on Elaine's lap in the piano recital is a classic. It's probably Elaine's laugh -- truly unflattering. The final touch? Jerry using his fingers to make Tweety "applaud."

I liked the idea so much, I did the same thing to my date at a piano concert during Rachmoninov's Piano Concerto No. 2. It really works.

That was one of my all-time favorites...A CLASSIC! But the BEST EVER episode was about faking orgasms. Elaine admitted to Jerry that when they were dating she "faked" all the time. He began to doubt everything she said and did as insecurity set in. He finally convinced her to let him prove himself...she did it to save the friendship!! But the pressure was just too much for him.

Surely the best, or at least one of the best, scenes has to be when George's parents return home from holidays and find a condom wrapper in their bed. Frank Costanza: "That does it, you're grounded!" George; "You can't ground me - I'm a grown man.".

Also, when George, hero-worshipping Elaine's boyfriend, Tony, is told by Kramer: "You know what I think ? I think you're in love with him."

how about in the bubble boy when jerry and elaine are lost, they get in the coffee shop, and elaine says somehting about the bubble boy, jerry is then all excited "i know of the bubble boy, i'm aware of the bubble boy.. why do u have to remind me of the bubble boy" and elaine blows a bubble!

I believe the best Seinfeld Scene ever was when Kramer and George apparently were spit on by that guy and Jerry was reacting it with George and Kramer ala the JFK assasination.. That was the best! :)

I have seen the fourth season mostly in reruns. I noticed that this season has a higher degree of continuity that other seasons. One thing that particularly interests me but also confuses me is the development of the pilot episode that Jerry and George develop for NBC. The idea for the show evolved quite a bit over the season. When did they drop the idea of the show being about the butler? When were they able to write in the "Elaine" character? How else did the show evolve over the course of the season? I'm also interested in the various negotiations with Susan and Russle Dalmryple (sp?). I suspect that many of the developments actually happened in "The Pilot" which I have only seen once, years ago. Also, any other information on the developments of other continuing plots, such as Crazy Joe Davola or George seeing a psychiatrist would be appreciated. Please e-mail any info you can; I might miss it if you post it. Thanks in advance.

It's gotta be in the "Risk" episode, on the bus. Neuman, and Kramer are playing Risk, and Kramer has almost won. Neuman says "I'm not beaten yet, I still have forces in the Ukraine!" Kramer rambles on about how "The Ukraine is weak and feeble," and how he's gonna "Put the hurt on the Ukraine," A tall fellow on the bus next to them speaks up "I from Ukraine, you no say Ukraine is weak." Kramer replies "Yeah were playin a game here pal." To which the man replies "Ukraine is game to you, How 'bout I take your little board and SMASH!" Effectivly ending the game of Risk.

One scene he beats the convict to the last copy of Time mag. This was at a newsstand in the airport.But inadvertently went into the same bathroom on the plane with the convict. He got beaten up and screaming thru the window as filmed from the plane outside.
