Here is the way the money was played out for The Pilot. NBC decided to shot the pilot for JERRY. Payment for Geroge & Jerry had to be decided before casting could start. NBC offered $13,000 to do the pilot. I believe that would be $6,500.00 apiece. George had read that TED DANSON lgot $800,000.000 per episode for CHEERS. I assume that was in the last couple of seasons of the show when it was on top of the Nielsens. George was insulted with the $13,000.00 offer and declined their offer. NBC passed and the deal was dead. George pannicked & ended up agreeing to $8,000.00 ($4,000.00 a piece) to do the show. That George is one smart business man!!!!
I bet Kramer should have taken care of this much better than George OR EVEN Jerry. Kramer is a very good businessman. Remember the coffee table bbok? and The Pizza place where you make your own Pizza?

About Kramer beeing a businessman...I don't think he really cares about money. He is a idealist who just wants to make life more pleasent for everybody. Think about the "Bro". And the episode where he accidently became a businessman. He didn't even care about getting paid :-)
