Has anyone else noticed the cool countdown commercials for Seinfeld. So far I've seen one for "8" comparing the show to endangered species, and one for "7" involving a slot machine... These are pretty cool, but I wonder how many of this sort of thing they can come up with?

I haven't seen them, but they do sound cool.

I'd have to guess that they could probably come up with 6 more. ;-)

Teehee! Good one.

Anyway, there's a guy who writes a TV column in the TV Guide book that comes with my newspaper. This week, there's a question from someone who says that it's distasteful to compare Seinfeld with the plight of the mountain gorilla. The response was something about how he hated the "voluntarily indignant" (I love that phrase.) and how if you compare the 35 million people who watch Seinfeld with the 15 people who have actually *seen* a mountain gorilla, you'll see which side the public takes.

All I'm gonna say is this:

If it would take hooking up a mountain gorilla's brain to a car battery in order to get Seineld back for another year, I only have 2 things to say.

Red is positive, and black is negative. [email] (Hammer nail here--> <-- for a new monitor.) (Remove XXXX to reply)

Sheesh. NBC gives free publicity to the problems of endangered species, and someone just HAS to complain about it...

It's not distasteful to compare Seinfeld with the mountain gorilla, it's ignorant. It makes no sense. What fruitcake made this statement? The mountain gorilla faces poachers and extinction, Seinfeld made alot of people happy, make alot of money, and is getting out while the getting is good. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

The point of the TV commercial was along the lines of "The black rhino: only 1100 left. The mountain gorilla: only 650 left. The all-new Seinfeld. Only 8 left." Makes perfect sense to me...

The only thing wrong with that is that A LOT is TWOWORDS. :-)
