Newman wants $1 million dollars per episode!!!

I heard that Newman ie Wayne Knight wants 1 million dollars per episode, and he threatened that otherwise he might walk off the set!!! So does anyone think he deserves that much money or should he be fired?

He must not be dialing 1-800-COLLECT :-)

A million a piece per episode? How can that be? Each episode would cost at least 5 million dollars. That would make it probably the most expensive half hour on TV. I remember a few years ago when Star Trek: TNG was bragging about their budget per episode being a little over a million each.

I just read an article in the paper about the Seinfeld salaries. It said that currently Jerry makes about $500,000/episode and the other three make just under $150,000/episode, although the three cast members are negotiating to make 1 million a season - which would be $300,000/episode.

Does this mean they'll only make a little over three episodes a season?
