Viewers debate whether Seinfeld's reference to the O.J. Simpson incident in "The Doorman" was appropriate comedy or offensive satire of a serious situation.
I don't like the fact that they used the OJ Simpson incident to be funny on the 03/02 episode of Seinfeld. I don't think it is funny at all, in fact I have alot of respect for OJ. I think he was a great football player (GO BILLS) and a good announcer. I like Seinfeld but, I don't think this was a good way to add humurous content to the show!

Are you kidding!? It was a brilliant parody of the O.J. media event. It merely showed how incredibly ridiculous the whole Simpson story is. Maybe that's how the whole Simpson thing started ... from a completely unrelated incident that got O.J. all worked up and later he blew his cool. Hell, read and watch the tabloid coverage of O.J. *That's* the stuff that's offensive. The Seinfeld episode was just great satire.
Yes, OJ was a great football player and yes, he was a great announcer. But what's that got to do with anything now. Sienfeld is a comedy TV show. Loosen up!
FYI, 03/02 was a repeat.
I thought the reference to O.J. was hilarious back when they first aired it and even more so now, with all the world watching O.J. T.V. everyday.
