Kramer & free coffee episode?

Does anyone know the title of the 'Seinfeld' episode where Kramer gets unlimited free coffee as a lawsuit settlement? I think it was a sub-plot; what was the main story plot?

The Postponement

The episode was "The Maestro", the 3rd episode in the 7th season.

The plots:

George tries to help a security guard at a store owned by Susan's uncle, by getting him a chair. Kramer gets a lawyer, Jackie Chiles, to represent him against the company which sold the coffee which burned him in the previous episode, "The Postponement"; Jackie thinks the case will make them both rich. When "the Maestro", a pretentious orchestra conductor, tells Jerry there are no places to rent in Tuscany, Jerry is sure he's lying to keep him away, so he sets out to discover if it's true; through Poppy (the sloppy chef), he meets someone who knows, but is then forced to rent a property. The Maestro gives Kramer a balm which cures his burn, to Jackie's horror; Kramer then settles out of court for all the free coffee he can drink. George's security guard falls asleep, and the store is robbed. Elaine dates the Maestro, and they go away to Tuscany together, only to find Jerry and Kramer moving into the place next door.

It was a pretty full 23 minutes :)

I believe Kramer's dealings with Java World actually span 2 episodes. The Postponment AND The Maestro.

I love that episode. Jacki the lawyer is a damn classic :) Does anybody know when Festivus is coming up?

Sure, here is a mini-FAQ about Festivus;

• Who invented Festivus? Frank Costanza.

• What is the reason Frank invented Festivus?

Frank "invented" Festivus after getting into a fight in a toy store when he and another man both grabbed for the last doll. (Frank wanted to buy a doll for George. Go figure.) Anyway, he decided that commercialization ruined Christmas and he would now celebrate Festivus. A Festivus - for the rest of us.

• When does Festivus take place?

December 23rd.

• What's with that wrestling thing?

One of the traditions of Festivus is the Feats of Strength, where two of the celebrants muct engage in a contest of some sort to determine which is stronger.

5. What is the pole made out of? How big is it? Was it passed around or mounted or what is the deal?

The undecorated aluminum pole represented the non-commercial nature of the holiday. No tinsel, no ornaments. It appeared to be approximately 8 or 9 feet tall and was probably placed in a corner of the living room, much like a Christmas tree.

• What about the insults?

That's another Festivous tradition, "The Airing of Grievances". Before commencing Festivus dinner, you go around the table telling each other participant about all of the ways they have disappointed you throughout the year.

• What does the Festivus meal consist of?

Although it wasn't specifically mentioned, the plate Estelle brought into the dining room appeared to be spaghetti OR meatloaf, either topped with red sauce. (Open to interpretation)

• Who can celebrate Festivus?

Anyone at all. It's nondenominational. The practical answer, however, is that only Seinfeld fans can *truly* celebrate Festivus. ;)
