Last episode

Just making sure: the last episode is 2 hours long? It is at 8pm? Thanks in advance

There's a clips show that will last around 50 minutes, starting at 8 pm. Then the last episode will run all the way till 10

Seems how I am In Australia, I will no get the last episode until June or July, so could someone be kind enough to e-mail the details of what goes on in the last show, ie. plot, cameos etc.

BOY!!! Did that ever suck!!! I'm sorry I watched it.

I just saw the last episode and I have to say it was the best episode I've seen. I just love the way the got back nearly every caracter in the 9 years the show ran.

Frankly, I don't want to spoil the end for those who haven't seen it already, but I think the ending leaves the door wide open for another project in maybe 2 years!

Again, THIS WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER!

It looks like Larry David wasn't going for laughs with the final episode. He was trying to show what jerks the "New York Four" were. The irony is that so many people (including me) loved these four people that were totally unlikeable in their actions. That's how I see it.

Kramer drives by Jerry and George walking on the street and invites them to the beach--they decline. NBC calls Jerry and George and they meet with the new NBC President who wants to buy 13 episodes of the Pilot "Jerry". Kramer has water stuck in his ear and jumps around shaking it out back at Jerry's. As a gift from NBC Jerry is given the NBC private jet for a trip. Kramer wants to go to Japan, and others elsewhere..so they just agree to go to Paris (Paris also featured in #79 The Raincoats where Jerry's parents wanted to go to Paris but never made it--just like this trip.) Newman begs to go but Jerry tells him to grow up and be an adult. George is not very impressed with the jet and complains until Elaine tells him he's ruining trip. On the plane Kramer jumps around trying to shake the water from his ear and falls into cockpit causing the plane to began going down. Approaching death--in one of the shows best moments--George confesses that he cheated in "The Contest" and that Jerry really won. Kramer says that he's ready to go and shouts "Glory,halleluia." Elaine says, "Jerry I have to tell you that I've always loved Y-----" and the plane pulls up and makes a safe emergency landing in a small Massachusetts town. (Later Jerry asks what Elaine was saying and she says "that I've always loved You-nited Airlines." They can't get a new plane and try to decide what to do. As they are standing there a man gets carjacked while Kramer tapes it, Elaine makes a cellular call and they make fat jokes about the victim. The police arrest them for violating the good samaritan law which requires people to help those in danger. A trial is held (with commentary by the Geraldo Rivera Live show on CNBC) and the prosecution brings in all kinds of people the gang has wronged in the past as character witnesses against them and to show that this incident is indicative of 9 years of behavior and they need punished. The Judge's name is Art Vandalay. Kramer's attorney Jackie represents them. Prosecution brings back the Mabel Choate who Jerry stole Marble Rye from; Bubble Boy who fought with George and Susan popped his bubble; the woman who got a used wheelchair from Kramer; the doctor who saw Susan's death after invitation licking and described George's reaction to news of the death as "restrained jubilation" Virgin who witnessed the Contest (48-49); Babu who was deported to Pakistan; Sidrah who's breasts were felt be Elaine to see if they're real for Jerry (#57--she states "They're real and they're spectacular"); the library cop who witnessed jerry's 25 year overdue book; the woman who dated George and he ran from a fire at her son's birthday party knocking over an old woman and children; the security guard where George and Jerry peed in the parking garage; the cop who accused Kramer of being a pimp; the lo-talker who had her puffy shirt ruined by Jerry; Steinbrenner claimed George was a communist (episode where he sent George to Cuba for players); cock-fighting guy; druggist that sold a case of sponges to Elaine; guy (who?) that said Elaine showed christmas card nipple; Mr. Pitt when he claimed Elaine tried to smother him with a pillow; Soup Nazi who said Elaine published his recipes. Kramer is confident case will be won; George's mom briefly tries to seduce Judge into her favor. All the shows guest characters are at the trial. Newman is constantly eating in gallery. Jackie is in bed with Sidrah right before verdict. Verdict is guilty and judge admonishes them for being terrible people for rocking the foundation of society and sentences them to year in prison. Newman chokes on his food and looks happy. Susan's parents are ecstatic. Babu cheers. Mr. Pitt claps. Uncle Leo is shocked. The rabbi who Elaine confided in is upset. Wheelchar lady claps. etc. George's mom faints. Elaine tells Putty not to wait for her and he simply says, "okay" and walks away. George blames Kramer for jumping in the plane. George's dad wants to huryy up and leave to beat traffic. Jackie leaves with Sidrah and says to Jerry, "They're real and they're spectacular." The 4 walk to a jail cell and Jerry says its only a year "and then we'll be back." [hinting at a return that will never happen to tease us]. Kramer thinks prison could be fun--dont worry about meals, sat nights, we can put on shows, IN Jail Cell: Kramer gets water out of ear finally and is very happy. Jerry talks about George's shirt 2nd button being the key button and George says, "Haven't we had this conversation before." Jerry, "You think?" George, "I think." Jerry, "Ya, Maybe we have." Ending shot is Jerry delivering stand up to prisoners all in orange jumpsuits--he complains about lockdowns and says sodomy is bad enough. Kramer is laughing hysterically, George looks depressed. Jerry is booed guy says "you suck". Jerry says, "I dont come down to where you work and pull the license plate out of your hand." [this is a reference to an ealier episode where a lady heckles Jerry and he goes down to her workplace and heckles her] A Guard pulls him off stage and last line is, "Hey, you've been great, see you in the cafetaria."

Go to bed - its nearly 4am with you - you will only be dissappointed - I know I shouldn't make assumptions on your behalf, but the final episode really sucked. Most of America went to bed at about 9.05pm tonight (20 mins) into the show.

i thought it was hilarious. the only thing i didn't like was that they showed clips on a couple of the testimonies. other than that it was incredibly funny.

and i also think it's hilarious that all of you people who think any seinfeld that larry david didn't write sucks, thought that this episode sucked. seinfeld rules. the only bad episode was the 100th episode one.

I'm really not sure what to think of the last episode. For 9 years now, I have counted on laughing histerically at least once during the 30 minute show and usually more than once. I even laugh at the re-runs that I have seen 2 or 3 times already. In the final episode, instead of laughing, I kept thinking "Oh... they brought that back... kind of clever!" I smiled, grinned and yawned during the show, never laughed.

I think they screwed up the whole good sumeritan thing. Did the police really expect them to confront a theif with a concealed weapon? Maybe they should have called for help but apparently there was a cop just around the corner waiting to bust someone on the good sumeritan law. In fact, the cop didn't really help out the fat guy either. Kramer actually assisted the police by taping the whole incident. Maybe I'm just being picky but this just didn't set well with me.

Seinfeld is not really a show about nothing. Its about the little annoying things in life that we often accept as being nothing. Somebody really missed this in the final episode (except for the out of place button at the very end). The opportunity was there. Why not cross-examine each of the witnesses and point out their annoying little habits? Why not point out how ridiculous a good sumeritan law is to outsiders from New York that had no way of knowing the law existed? For the first episode ever, the 4 main characters just seemed to accept everything that was going on around them, especially in the courtroom.

ABC aired the "shrinkage" episode of Seinfeld just before NBC started the final episode. Even though I have seen this episode 4 times now, it was still funnier than the final. Even the 45 minutes of clips from old shows was more enjoyable.

To the Seinfeld cast: thanks for 9 years minus one episode.

the only good thing about this episode is that it mocks last episodes and makes everything that could possibly happen happen. just the opposite of what everything Seinfeld is about!

I totally agree. It may have not been the best episode ever, but it was damn sure better than 9 out of 10 shows out there. Even a bad Seinfeld episode is better than the best sitcom on TV. Miketay77
