Please explain . . .

I did not watch Wednesday night's game, but I was watching the pitch-by-pitch updates on the internet while using doing some other things. What I don't understand is this: Why did Hampton bat in the top of the fifth, only to be relieved by Elarton in the bottom of the fifth. What did I miss by not watching the game on TV?

Sounds like real baseball as played in the National League - far too complicated for us in Toronto.

Anyway, around here Hamptons means something else.
