I say let's boycott NBC for bowing to the flag-whiners and apologizing!

But not until after next Thursday, of course.

p.s. if we burned EVERY flag, we might have a more peaceful world.

Kramer was enjoying the Puerto Rican culture when he ACCIDENTALLY set the flag on fire. This was a joke.

Those damn Iraqis set the American Flag on fire in demonstration and protests because they hate us Americans. That was serious.

Hey, Don Jaun. Just remember this. Some people are never really happy unless they're pissed off about something. If calling for a boycott is what Francisco needs to keep him happy, who are we to argue.

I think most people who found the burning flag incident funny would have found it just as funny had Kramer been at a Veteran's Day parade and accidently started Old Glory on fire. Now, suppose instead of the Puerto Rican Day Parade, it was a St. Patrick's Day parade, and Kramer had set the Irish flag on fire, and was chased by a mob of angry Irishmen? I'm part Irish, and I wouldn't have been offended in the least. I would have still laughed either way.

And what about episode #62, "The Handicapped Spot?" George parks his car in a handicapped spot, and his car is destroyed by an angry mob. Now I may be wrong, but I believe that most (if not all) of the people in the mob were white. I don't recall anybody complaining that this episode made whites look bad by portraying them as an angry mob, yet it was practically the same action taken by the mob in "The Puerto Rican Day."

And people may be forgettting that practically *everyone* on Seinfeld looks bad. Even the four main characters are portrayed as selfish, petty and greedy. Now if the four main characters look bad, why should we expect anyone else to be portrayed positively? Now, if Seinfeld was a show full of loving, warm, nice people, but Puerto Ricans were portrayed as rioters, then I could see a reason for people to complain. But since the Puerto Ricans were portrayed as no better or worse than any of the other characters that have been on the show in the past 9 years, I don't see a problem.

I'm tired of hearing from people who claim to speak for all of us. I agree with Guy Ridley. I am a Puerto Rican and was not offended in the least by this episode. I think these whiners do much more to harm the image of a particular group than a show like this. To those that were offended speak for yourselves and lighten up!!
