Jerry & Elaine back together episode???

Hey, I recently (finally!) saw the episode from a few years back where Jerry and Elaine start having sex again and at the end are seemingly back together as a couple. My question is...what the hell happened after this? I don't remember seeing any other shows where they were together or where they had a breakup and went back to being friends again. Did they just brush it over and not deal with it at all? It seems kind of weird to make them get back together and not do anything about it afterwards. I'm assuming there's another episode in there somewhere I missed. Please tell me what happened!

Nothing. The next episode has them back to being friends with no reference to what happened earlier. I, too, was waiting to see wh= at I assumed would be a follow-up episode to that. How I found out that it's never dealt with again is I have a book about the early= Seinfeld years (I think up through '93) and in the chronological synopses I noticed that the authors say that in the next episode t= hey are "inexplicably" back to being friends. Plus, I've seen the very next episode (I believe it's "The Baby Shower") and there is= absolutely NO reference to a current closer relationship between them.

I'll have to check the amount of time that passes between the airing of the couple episode and the following one, but my theory is = that it was one of the earlier ones before Seinfeld was shown on a weekly basis. If that's NOT the case, however, I think it was ve= ry strange of the writers/producers to set up that scenario and then never mention it again.

I think there is potential for this topic to resurface in the future. I am optimistic.

When they don't show the episodes in order in syndication, it's hard to follow because many episode relate back to earlier ones. Does anyone know why they jump all over the place. It's especially frustrating during the sitcom season.

The episodes are not shown in order in syndication because Sony purchased the episodes in batches over time leading to a random airing order. Recent syndication schedules indicate that they are trying to eventually synchronize them so that the episodes will be shown in order of production.

They weren't back together in this episode; Elaine had revealed to Jerry that she had never acheived orgasm while they were having sex, and he wanted another crack at the big "O". Hence, a one-shot where she gives him 15-minutes.
