Coincidence or not?

I just watched Body Heat, a movie I havent seen in many years. Early in the movie, one of the characters is a lawyer named Costanza. Later, Ted Danson also has a medium sized role. Is there any coincidence to this that in The Pilot, George wants to get paid as much per episode as Ted Danson?
