Does anybody know which show and which episode won the Emmy for best writing in a comedy series? I was talking to a friend of mine on the telephone and missed that portion of the show. BTW, I know I'm going to take a lot of heat for this, and I like Seinfeld a lot, I really do, but I agree with Frasier winning the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series. I think it won because 1) It was the best new series of the season 2) The scripting and acting are so damn good. Granted, the show seemed a little stiff for the first few episodes when they concentrated a lot on Frasier's rocky relationship with his father, but when Niles and Frasier started hanging out more often, it really got good. Seinfeld, for the most part, was not quite as good as last season. There have been some truly funny episodes, such as "The Stall," "The Pie," and "The Hamptons," but "Frasier" truly deserved to win.
