Establish a pattern

If Jackie Chiles was so good, why didn't he get Judge Vandelay to throw out all those "character witnesses which establish a pattern." What a joke! He shouldn't have "allowed it." They should have written it better. There's no way a judge would let people testify who were not witnesses of the alleged crime.

duhhh... they were called as "character witnesses", or in this case, lack thereof.

By the way, Jackie Chiles DID object to the testimony of these so-called character witnesses. But as in real life, the judge gets the final word on what's relevant or not...

No. The episode was about rehashing someof the greatest moments (and great characters) of the show.

I know Chiles objected, he just didn't get it done. It's allowed in certain circumstances, such as spousal abuse cases, (OJ) but not bringing up a defendent's record is a pretty fundamental principle of American law. "Character witnesses?" what has that to do with whether or not the New York 4 didn't help?
