Fans identify the mannequin designer as a character who previously appeared on the subway with Elaine in an earlier episode.

I realize I stand the chance of getting flamed up the yin-yang for this question, but it's driving me crazy. Who was the mannequin designer? I feel I should recognize him, but I don't. Is he the presumed dead NBC exec, or someone else?
