Letters From A Nut by Jerry Seinfeld?

I know that this is not really about teh show (of which I am a huge fan), but i think you all may find this of interest. I work at a bookstore in San Antonio, Texas and as I was shelving books about a month and a half ago i noticed a new book in the humor section that had an introduction written by Jerry Seinfeld. Being a huge fan of Seinfled and Jerry's comedy I decided that i would look at the book during my break. It is one of the most funny books i have read reciently and i reccomend you all get it or at least look at it. It is called Letters From A Nut and its author is listed as Ted Nancy. As time went on i purchased the book and took it home. I began to think about it even more when i saw Jerry on Leno promoting the book and have read that he has done the same on several other shows reciently. This is what began to make me believe that this book was written not by one Ted Nancy, but Jerry. There are several other reasons for this which I will list here for everyone: 1. Jerry Seinfeld is promoting this book without anyone ever having seen Ted Nancy. 2. The book is published by Avon Pub., the same publishers who put out Seinlanguage. 3. The book had an origional printing of around 20,000 books which is unheard of for an unknow author. 4. Inside the back cover of the book is a statement saying that Ted Nancy is a citizen who hopes to do for comedy what Anonymous did for politics. Which to me means that there must be something that will cause people to want to know either who Ted Nancy is or who really is the Nut writting these letters.

If I recall correctly, on the Jay show Seinfeld said that he found the letters in some celebrity's home and since they were funny he wanted to compile them into a book.

I think Jerry did not write these. I think he is publishing them and taking in the profits since he cannot locate Ted Nancy, which was the true originator of the letters.

I agree with Habuki who wrote that he did not think Jerry is the real Ted L. Nancy, author of the incredibly funny, "Letters from a Nut." I think Ted L. Nancy is actually Don Novello, a.k.a. Father Guido Sarducci. Novello wrote a similar book in the '80s, "The Lazlo Letters," which was also hysterically funny and the writing style is almost exact. Would love to hear any other opinions on this.

Novello has 2 such books out. _The Lazlo Letters_ and _Citizen Lazlo_. Both are much funnier than what I have heard of the "Letters from a Nut" so far. I doubt that Novello had anything to do with it except for giving the idea to someone with little creativity.

I think that Ted L. Nancy is actually an army of Seinfeld staff writers. If you read through the book, notice the different signatures. Other comments?

Is it a clue that it's Tim Conway or a decoy to throw off of Jerry's scent?
