"Borrowed" ideas

(in ref. to Everybody Loves Raymond and The Drew Carrey Show) Who's to say that some of the ideas and lines on some of the Seinfeld episodes weren't "borrowed" from some other show or comedian? Even if they are, who really cares?

Sorry Paul.  "Who really cares?" is trollbait in a TV show newsgroup.
If nobody cared, nobody would be here.  Fact is many shows have borrowed
from prior humor, Seinfeld included, but to take an old idea and rework
it is far different from lifting material and taking credit for it.
