I was watching "The Mom and Pop Store" yesterday, and was intrigued by the ending where Jerry and Kramer sit in a bus, and Kramer gets a bloody nose, and says something about "going to Bellevue", and Jerry tries to hug him. There's sappy music in the background, and it definately smells of a reference to another movie. Anyone have any idea as to which movie?

I believe the movie reference in the Mom and Pop episode is "Midnight Cowboy" with Jon (no "H") Voight and Dustin Hoffman.

There are so many questions re: this, I decided to quit e-mailing the answer to each individual person. The movie is "Midnight Cowboy". It was originally rated "X", now rated "R". Jon Voight plays a cowboy who just moved to New York to be a male prostitute because he heard that women were "hot for cowboys and would pay for it". He's kind of naive and is like a lost lamb in New York. I can't remember his character's name. He meets Dustin Hoffman (Ratso) who takes him to an abandoned, condemned building and lets him stay with him. Ratso is rather sickly and has lots of nose bleeds. At the end of the movie, Jon V. puts Ratso on the bus with him to take him to Florida because the warmer weather will improve his health. Ratso dies on the bus, and Jon V. puts his arm around his shoulder and rocks him back and forth. The music is from the movie: "Everybody's laughin' at me, Can't hear a word their sayin'.
