Exactly one year...

For anyone interested, or just forgot, exactly one year ago was when "THe Finale" aired.

I certainly thought there would be a whole lot more mentioned about this. Apparently all the people who said: "You watch...they'll all be back in one year 'cause that's when they said they were going to get out of jail." are all in hiding.

     Too bad they weren't right, although we all knew it was just wishful
thinking (and Jerry himself confirmed that a couple months back in that
interview with Bob Costas).
     I think the volume of such posts increased over the last month or so,
simply because we've seen and digested a whole year of "must miss TV" in the
post-Seinfeld world. A lot of folks hoped they'd be rescued from TV's current
state of creative torpor by a fresh batch of Seinfeld wit. That may eventually
come in another form (Jerry has broadly hinted about talk shows or specials, or
both) but he's made it abundantly clear he won't do another sitcom...doesn't
think it'd be anything but a disappointment to all of the people who enjoyed
the first one. (That's why he refused $125 million to do another year of
"Seinfeld" for NBC...you have to admire a guy who sacrifices that much cash
just to preserve artistic integrity and show his respect for his fans.)
