In case any UK viewers sick of the BBC's early hours scheduling of Seinfeld, missed the British Comedy Awards tonight on ITV, Jonathan Ross the presenter gave a show of solidarity saying
"I'm glad to see Seinfeld is back on the BBC, although I must say my enjoyment when watching it is somewhat spoiled by the rattling of milk-floats."
Please explain milk-floats. Obviously something only a Britoner would get. A milk man reference perhaps? Ahhhhh it would appear that the Commonwealth Nations have drifted apart. Bring back Disraeli!! Then Canada can go back to being a Dominion! ...self medication, who's idea was it anyways!?!?!
In the early hours of the morning (5-6 am for me) the milkman (milk person?) delivers fresh milk, yes fresh milk to our very doors. To aid him in his endeavours he drives an electric milk float. Sort of like a big golf cart with space in the back for milk and bread and eggs. As he travels on his merry way delivering happiness to one and all the glass milk bottles in his float make a pleasant rattling noise as he travels on our bumpy roads.
The money Jonathon Ross earns I would have thought he got his milk delivered in a Limo, well you know what I mean.
I wonder if Seinfeld had ever been nominated for Best International Comedy........? The Simpsons won it yesterday, Matt Groenig (sp?) was pretty funny.......
