Fans debate details of the episode featuring the Met player and the spitter conspiracy theory, with disagreement over which player and what actually happened at the game.
I believe the best episode has to be the one where Newman and Kramer had gone to the NY Mets game and were hit by a spitball supposedly done by Kevin Mcreynolds. Jerry analyzes the whole theory of the second spitter. I have that episode on tape. Anyone else agree with me?

Yeah, it's great (especially the line about "I'll demonstrate for Miss Benes...") BUT it was supposedly done by Keith Hernandez, not Kevin McReynolds. In actuality they discover it was done by former Met most reciently a Dodger (but since nobody's playing he's not anything) relief pitcher/noted prankster Roger McDowell.
It's a classic episode, down to the grainy home movie with the guy with the umbrella and the guy covering his kid who's standing behind the K-man.

You got your favorite episode a little wrong. The episode was when Jerry was friends with a Met (I can't remember his name but it was a hispanic name not Mcreynolds I think it was Tony Hernandez ) and Elaine was dating him. Kramer and Newman had gone to the game at some time in the past and the episode was full of JFK'ish flashbacks(grainy and in black and white) of one of them getting spit upon(not hit with a spit ball). Jerry came to the conclusion that "there must have been a second spitter."
Yes it was a good episode but I haven't seen it for a few years.
