Fans discuss whether Superman references throughout the series are an inside joke, producer decision, or reflection of Jerry Seinfeld's real-life fandom.
Alright, I haven't been able to get an answer to this so I'm going to ask me.
Now I've noticed that Jerry makes references to Superman in like every episode almost, and it was discussed on here but was it some sort of thing the producers did to make a reference in every show? Does Jerry have some real-life liking of Superman or is it just in the show?
I'm curious and it's bugging me. Thanks. Scott

Real life Jerry is a big Superman fan, so it made sense for TV Jerry to be one too. They have a lot of things in common, RLJ and TVJ. They both live in NYC, they both love cereal, they both prefer to wear sneakers than shoes...

Hmm, I dunno about that. I've seen the tag on TV Jerry's jeans, and I think Real-Life Jerry may have a bit more girth about the mid-section. At least another inch, I'd imagine.

In just about every episode you can see an image of Superman in Jerry's apartment. The one I notice most is the magnet or picture on the fridge. I think there are only a couple of episodes where you don't see or hear about Superman. One episode that comes to mind is the one where they are waiting for a table in the Chinese restaurant.
