Fans discuss Elaine's Murphy Brown script from "The Keys" episode, whether it was accepted, and the connection between the two shows filmed in adjacent studios.
So, in last night's episode, the Keys (I think) Jerry and George discover that Elaine was writing an episode of Murphy Brown. What season was this episode? Is there any reason why they Jerry and George did not include Elaine in writing for their pilot? Do we ever find out if Elaine's script is accepted? Is it more than a coincidence that Kramer gets a role on MB?

We can assume that her script was not accepted. It is never mentioned again in the series and in real life no unsolicited script is ever accepted or read by producers.
The connection between Seinfeld and Murphy Brown, I believe, is that the two shows were filmed in adjacent studios. (even though they were shown on different networks)
also: RE elaine not having a part in the pilot they were writing;
in the first episode of 'the seinfeld chronicles' there was no elaine character-- this makes sense in keeping with the connection between the NBC pilot, and the actual "Seinfeld" series. hope that makes sense/helps
