the pick

Remember, at the end of this episode, Jerry does a speech to the one who <<caught>>� him picking at his nose and then, right after, there's Elaine, doing a speech to a co-worker calling her nip (for showing her nipple on X-mas cards). There's obviously a reference there, they're speeches, and they usually don't do speeches like these. And it's one after the other. What is this? Is that it and nothing else? Am I looking too far? I find there's something more because there's laughing from the crowd, but it's not really funny (for me).

Jerry's speech I believe was based on the Elephant Man. At least, that reminded me of it. Well, not the entire speech, but the phrase "I am not an animal" reminded me of the Elephant Man. It has been a while since I have seen the movie and I only saw it once.

Me too. I always watch out for that one. What also makes it funny I think is that the security wand's pitch goes higher going up Jerry's leg.
