whether or not the tv censors prohibited the use of phrase "pick my nose", notice that jerry and george often drop the object when discussing even mundane activities:
examples -- "i chuck" = "i chuck a basketball"
"i pick " = "i pick my nose" also "rub"/"scratch"
"i dunk " = "i dunk my donut"and they always seem to know the implied object, i.e. they don't dunk basketballs or noses, just donuts. jerry and george have this "secret" language thing going...
and you're going to think i'm absolutely crazy, but the whole line about the "panties that your mother LAID out for you", i thought was funny 5 minutes after i heard it. the picture that came to my mind was the panties her mother wore when she conceived the baby. i'll bet some people out there thought along similar lines, although someone else wrote that it was one of those lines blurted out by one of jerry's writers during an actual experience.
