syndicaion ?

Please forgive the stupid question but what is a Syndication Cut ???

Long-running TV shows are often sold into syndication, meaning that stations other than the orginal network affiliates pay for the right to broadcast them.

When the shows are originally broadcast, they are approximately 22 minutes in length. When they are shown in syndication, they are usually a minute or so shorter, to make room for more commercials. Portions of the show that are irrelevant to the plot (often the funniest moments) are cut out.
