Seinfeld Chronicles

For once, the Seinfeld fans of Australia get something to cheer about. Tonight, Channel 10 is airing the pilot episode 'The Seinfeld Chronicles'. I have been a fan from the beginning, but still haven't seen this episode! I'll be watching.

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the very first Seinfeld episode was really bad! I guess it's because by now we know what each character is supposed to act like and they were working out the details in the first one, actually the first ten episodes or so. I saw this episode for the first time about a year ago and just couldn't believe how lame it was. For any TV station to have thought that this was going to be a great show just from the pilot must have been taking something up his or her nose.... Just MY opinion..... but I'm very grateful that NBC decided to keep the show going ..... their are a lot of GREAT Seinfeld episodes but the first one wasn't one of them....

My reaction was mixed - some of it wasn't so hot (the waitress for one), but you could definately see the seeds of the show to come. Don't know that they thought it was going to be a "great" show, but IMO the pilot showed NBC that the idea behind it wasn't that of just another "average" US sitcom. Most (if not all) pilots are never that great, but this definately showed "something" to me.
