I think someone, in some episode uses the expression, "Magnificent Bastard" but I cannot place who said it about whom.
Has anyone ever heard this expression before? Is it a movie/literary reference that zoomed over my head?

I can not recall who said it in Seinfeld, but I have always considered it as a borrowing of a line from the movie - PATTON when Geroge C Scott during his first battle with Rommel said something like this: " Rommel- you magnificent bastard, I read your book!!!!!!!"
