In one episode, Jerry has an extra ticket to a Giants game and can't find anyone to go with. "Why don't you ask Kramer?" "No, Kramer only likes Canadian football."
Then, in another episode, Joel Rifken says "Hey Jerry, I have an extra ticket to the Giants game" and Kramer bolts through the door, ecstatic, and says "I'll go!" "Okay" "Oh YEAH!"
What gives?

Well, the Joel Rifkin episode was made before the other one....Ithink it was called the Label Maker. Maybe Kramer got fed up with American football and started watching only Canadian football. I don't know. It's only a sitcom. What is Canadian football anyway? The same as American?

There has been much speculation as to which characters could leave Seinfeld, and still have a show. Each character has a weight to the show as follows: Jerry: 35% George: 25% Elaine: 25% Kramer: 15%
As long as you have a majority >50% you could still have a quality show or 50% would be about one half as good.
So if just Kramer left, it would still have an 85% q.p. (quality percentage) and still have a majority percentage, and carry the show.
If Elaine or George left, three-quarters as good or 75%.
Strangely enough, if Jerry left, you could still have a show at 65%! (But you'd have to change the name of the show--to The George and Elaine Show, for instance).
Another way to envision this is thinking of them each as chess pieces with Jerry being a rook (equal to about five pawns) George a bishop (3 pawns) Elaine a knight (3 pawns) and Kramer a pawn (but an important center pawn!)
In a chess game, you can lose a pawn and keep playing, depending on the position of the board. You can lose a piece (bishop or knight) but have to play extra well with your other pieces to stay in the game. You could also play without a rook, but not for long before it all falls apart.
I hope this straightens up any questions/confusion about who could leave Seinfeld and how it would affect the show. J. Carlson
You can't divy out percentage statistics to every person in a TV show and say that if they leave the show they will leave it that percent incomplete!! If it was that easy then there wouldn't be so many sorry shows out! And Kramer has to be worth more points than 15 anyway. Is this statistic based on polls, poularity, applause loudness, the writers, or made up by you?

Granted, he's not the funniest one on the show. Granted, even though the show's named after him, a show could be re-named and still go on. But what your idea misses is that Jerry is the hub around which all the other characters rotate. I doubt Elaine and George would interact much without Jerry. Kramer and George maybe, but still doubtful. Kramer and Elaine . . . no. George could have his OWN show with that woman he's seeing. Kramer would probably not support his own show, he's more of a side-note. Elaine might be able to have a show . . . but I doubt it.
But the current show could not survive without the "hub". The Seinfeld world revolves around him. Jerry is the Sun of the Seinfeld system. Kramer, Elaine, and George are planets around Jerry. And each of them have several moons, if you will (Newman, "her", J. Peterman, etc.).
OK, I know the analogy is silly . . . but it's cold, and I'm tired!!!

Just how is it that Jerry is unfunny than the other characters???? The writing for the show is well-planned to make the every scene as funny as the next. the next for each character.

in canadian football both teams get 12 players on the field. endzones are 20 yards deep, and the other team has to return missed field goals or they can be tackled in the endzone for a safty.

And there is no fair catch, but you have to be a full five yards away from the guy catching the punt or kickoff when he touches it. Then he's fair game.
Its just too much fun to watch. No wonder Kramer likes it.
It's also 10 yards wider than the American field.
