Name the only true character crossover, as opposed to actor crossover, from Seinfeld to Mad About You. & remember in order to be correct it has to be a character from the show and not just an actor. Post or e mail the correct answer and win the (coveted Cosmo Award.

Kramer sub-lets his apartment from Paul Buckman. This was revealed in an episode of Mad About You.

HOWEVER, (now you got me started):

In an episode of Seinfeld, George and Susan watch MAY one night in bed. So tell me, in the Seinfeld universe, was Paul Buckman a TV character or the guy Kramer rented his apartment from?

AND (can't stop me now):

Jerry appeared on MAY as himself, in other word as the man who had a hit show on NBC for 9 years....a show with a character named Cosmo Kramer. So in the MAY universe, was Kramer a character on Jerry's TV show, or the guy who sub-lets Paul's apartment?

Hey, I don't watch Friends, but I've been told there's some sort of

Kramer (Seinfeld) sub-lets his apartment from Paul Buckman (Mad About You).

Pheobe ( Friends) is the twin sister of Ursula, the waitress (Mad About You).

The character Alan Brady (portrayed by Carl Reiner and originated on The Dick Van Dyke Show) appeared on Mad About You.

So........

Seinfeld, Friends, Mad About You and The Dick Van Dyke Show have some character cross-over, therefore all exist in the same TV universe.

Are there any other examples of 4 (or more) TV shows that have character overlaps like this (NOT involving spin-offs)?

Hold the phone. I just heard from someone who watches Friends, and he said there was an episode where they referred to watching Seinfeld at Monica and Rachel's apartment instead of at Joey and Chandler's place because Monica was "a better host" and this related to the plot somehow.

So if "Seinfeld" and "Mad About You" exist in the same TV universe, and "Mad About You" and "Friends" exist in the same TV universe, then how could the "Friends" friends watch "Seinfeld" on TV, in much the same way as George and Susan watched "Mad About You" in a "Seinfeld" episode?

Maybe the "Friends" friends were watching the "Jerry" pilot?

There's even more. Now, the Dick Van Dyke show should be in the same universe as Friends, because of Mad About You. BUT, in one episode of Friends, they are *watching* the Dick Van Dyke show. Joey and Chandler had just gotten a big screen tv, and we can see the show playing on the tv as they watch it - then one of the friends remarked "Rose Marie definitely belongs on a smaller screen."

Last season (or the one before that), ABC had at least four shows mingle. I think their Tues or Weds line-up went to Las Vegas, and ran into each other. I remember Drew Carey and Coach specifically.

That was Mad About You. Lisa Kudrow played Ursula. Then she got the gig on Friends and played both Phoebe and Ursula for a few seasons. They did have a crossover episode.
