I have always wondered if the man sitting by the door of the restaurant when the group comes in is Steve Landesberg (Dietrich of Barney Miller).
Anyone else think he looks like him? Anyone know who he is (or cares)?

He did some furniture store commercials here in Ontario for a low priced furniture chain a few years ago. It was sad to see him doing that after Barney Miller.

He was doing local ads in NYC area for a clothing chain, too.
Told Stuttering John once: "I don't answer questions like that" and walked away in a huff. What a tool.
He was doing ads for Joseph A. Bank Clothing here in the Cleveland area.
I remember Gary Garver, the guy from Stern's L.A. station trying to interview him as well. Garver asked him "Who will you be voting for in the upcoming Presidential election?" and Landesberg brusquely said "That's none of your business" and snatched the list of questions from the poor interviewer's hand. Then he looked it over, denounced the questions as lame and said "These questions aren't interesting...I can't do this, I can't do a boring interview".
Howard once said that Landesberg was probably the WORST guest he ever had on--he was a total ass and just acted like he didn't want to be there.

No, not Bad Boy. It was for United Furniture Warehouse. He did some ads for (the now defunct) Canadian Airlines in the late 80s or early 90s too.

Speaking of Norman... I watched 'The Junior Mint' tonight and he may be sitting in the coffee shop wearing a black leather jacket while Jerry and George are talking about what Delores' name might be. I only got a quick look so I'm not sure yet, I'll check my tapes.
