Seinfeld quote on Stargate SG-1

Last night I saw an episode of the TV show Stargate SG-1 in which Colonel O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson) is introduced to a Major Newman, and uses the traditional Seinfeld inflection as he says "Hellooo.... Newman!" Yet another example of how Seinfeld has become a part of our culture!

Though this was the first time this episode was seen in syndication, it was originally aired on Showtime a year or two ago. I wasn't sure if it was already discussed back then, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

Stargate is full of little references like that.

Not Seinfeld related, but those who know RDA's work will see the humor in this qoute from the pilot movie for SG-1 called "Children Of The Gods" as the team is about to go to Abydos.....Major Carter says "Without a Dial Home Device it took our earth scientists years just to MacGyver a dialing program for the Gate..." ..... and the look on RDA's face to this line is priceless.....:-)

LOL! I still haven't seen that episode (the pilot) because I started watching the show during the middle of the first season in syndication. That's a detail I'll have to look for when I eventually see it. :-)
