Does Seinfeld make what follows look bad?

In the last year we've seen "Caroline," "Suddenly
	Susan," "The Naked Truth," and now "Fired Up" all
	put in the 9:30 slot after "Seinfeld."  What gives?

	I sat through half of "Fired Up" tonight and was wondering
	why NBC doesn't put something with smarter humor in
	that position.  I imagine they get a slightly more
	intellectual crowd for "Seinfeld" and "ER," so why not
	give them a show with a bit more bite in the 9:30 slot?
	That "Fired Up" looked like it was right off the FOX
	Network.  And the restaurant owner played the bad guy in
	just about every late '80s shoot-em-up theatrical movie.
	Didn't Eddie Murphy kill him a couple of times?

	I say bring back "Caroline" or even "Susan."  (But not
	George's Susan; she's really dead.)

I agree, put something worthwhile on after Seinfeld. I usually flip over to PBS REd Green show instead of watching whatever crap they put up.

Fired Up was terrible, yet another cookie cutter sitcom.

You're right about the slot just after "Seinfield." I've given up on it; I can't stand "Caroline," "Susan," or any show that has been there this season. I turn off the TV for half an hour between "Seinfield" and "ER."

You know something? I didn't like Cheers when I first saw it...nor its spin off, "Fraiser." I'm not sure I even like Caroline in the City now. Suddenly Susan really won us over because we expected a DUD...never liked Brooks Shield until Suddenly.... I'm willing to give Fired Up a chance because I also did NOT think it was great, but realize how wrong I've been in the past. (Hey, at least Fired Up isn't about a magazine or a newspaper...how about that!! and still within the 96/97 season. :=) How many of those started up: The Naked Truth, Suddenly Susan, and Ink)

I agree. Everytime I stick around for the show after Seinfeld I regret it incredibily and turn off my TV as quickly as possible.

Yeah, they're hoping you misplaced the remote, because they know that you'll watch anything that comes next if you have to get up and look for the remote.
