Who is the character that dies in Seinfeld in the season currently showing in the US?

And why?

'Susan', who was George's (a main character) girlfriend. She was "killed off", so to speak, so George's character would not have to continue the story line into the next season.

Is it the cold season "down under" now?

It is george's fiance' she dies and he doesnt have to marry her.
