There is an episode where Mr Wilhelm wanted George to do some project. All George new was that it had something to do with the song "downtown." It later turned out that Mr Wilhelm was going crazy and the project made no sense (although some guy in the payroll office was taken in).
My question: did we ever learn anything about exactly what the song was supposed to mean in this context?
I don't think so; appropriate to the show's theme that it's about "nothing," I think the song "Downtown" turned out to be irrelevant to the plot. But Jerry and George THOUGHT it was; and,as usual, fun ensued.
Nope. Wilhelm just congratulated George on a job well done, leaving him as baffled as the rest of us :)
We didn't learn the significance of the song, but it seemed to be implied that Mr.. Wilhelm actually did the report, and forgot about that he did it. It had something to do with him forgetting to take his medication. There was a scene where he asks his wife about dinner, and she says something to the effect of "we just ate, did you forget to take your pills again?"
