Why don't the people who syndicate Seinfeld release the episodes in the actual order... I don't understand why they can't air the episodes in the order they were created... it just seems like it would even be a lot easier than mixing and matching.. I can understand the weekend episodes being off, but during the week I think they should air EVERY episode IN ORDER (of course not The Puerto Rican Day, sniff, sniff) Am i missing something?
question about syndication
My guess is that when the owner of the syndication package presents a particular group of episodes to would be advertizers they package together the more popular shows (based on past ratings) to guarantee the certain amount of viewership to the new sponsers and thus get the maximum amount of money of the sponership rights. Hopefully, Ted Turner, the next owner of the syndication rights will see the potential bonanza in ratings and in turn ad revenues if he can come up with some sort of compromise and be able to show some version of The Puerto Rican Day show. Of course I do not know for sure that the PR Day episode is included in the syndication package. However, if I was Jerry Seinfeld, i would gladly include the showin thepackage and tell any buyer to proceed at their own risk.
