Does anyone actually like both shows? There are Seinfeld people and Friends people. I don't think you can really like both. I myself hate friends. Why is that funnY?

Checked in to Friends once a season to find out if I was missing anything. Thirty seconds later realized I wasn't.
I do personally know two people who watch both shows a lot, but they're more dedicated to Friends than the Sein.

I concur. I liked Friends but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it and I'd often channel surf during new episodes. I watched every new episode of Seinfeld religiously. My one regret is coming to this newsgroup during season 9 because the negative opinions may have dampened, if only slightly, my own enthusiasm for the show.
I'd put Friends and Frasier at about the same level. Good, solid sitcoms but nowhere near the level of brilliance of Seinfeld.

Well, I don't even think of Seinfeld and Frasier as the same type of show. I like Fraiser, but love Seinfeld. Friends? It gets changed anytime it comes on...too chirpy.
. I started watching Friends every week from 96 to about 2000..........I did not want to miss a single episode....but over time I just didnt care about Freinds anymore....
I decided to catch the final episode of friends just because it was all hyped up and I used to like the show........but I literallly....literally got naseous and could not watch it after the first 15 minutes. I was actually looking forward to sit down and just watch it no matter how boring it was.. But no joke I actually wanted ed to throw up after about 15-20 mins in. No joke, it was strange. I am usually very tolerable of bad TV.
Seinfeld on the other hand, I can watch the same episode repeating several times over and still enjoy it.
I like both. I like "Seinfeld" a lot, lot, lot more, but the first few seasons of "Friends" were pretty well-written. It got really preachy after awhile, though.
I also like "Sports Night" and "Newsradio", so figure that the hell out.

I really liked Friends (though not as much as Seinfeld) when it first started, but I very rarely watched it at all after the third season. I read a comment where someone predicted that 10 years from now, we'll wonder what the big deal about Friends was. For me personally, that will probably hold true.
The thing with Friends is it makes me laugh as its packed with jokes.
Almost every episode is ok and there are hardly any bad ones, whereas with Seinfeld there are some excellent ones and some dull ones.
There are classic Seinfeld episdoes where as there are no real standout epidoes of Friends..
I am in the UK and how watched Friends in the order it was made so I have seen it progress but with Seinfeld I have see it out of order although I have since watched every episode in order.
