In the rerun episode the other night Jerry woke up and wrote down a joke. He kept handing the paper to everyone asking what it said and everyone said something different. I missed the end of the show...did they finally figure out what it said? Let me know, ok?

actually, i remember reading in my seinfeld glossary that he had written a joke on a piece of paper and afterwards, couldn't figure out what he had written (due to the indecipherable handwriting) we may not be speaking of the same episode, but, i'm pretty sure that's it.
i don't remember what the joke was, though.

It was on the Heart attack episode.
I'm pretty sure it said, "Flaming globes of Sigmund." It was a line from that schlocky flick he was watching, and he woke up in the middle of the night to scribble it down, then couldn't read what he'd written. At the end of the show, he sees the movie again and recognizes the line. But it wasn't funny then.
Now when George said, "In fact, let's get it over with right now. Jerry, kill me." and Jerry tries to smother him w/the pillow, that was funny. Then Elaine walks in, and Jerry says:
"Elaine. What are you doing here."
Makes my sides hurt.
