Rude people

I think that it is awfully rude of some people to leave a message on this newsgroup with more than 30 lines. Someone on here wrote a message with 10001 lines. That is way to long and it takes a while to download. Please think about this people.

Well, think about it before you decide to read, and therefore, download it. It was that long because it was an encoded file of a sound bite.

On AOL you can set it up to log on, automatically download your newsgroup messages, and log off -- all while you're sleeping, if you want.

And it is rude (and may be a breach of netiquette) to post a 10000 line message to this kind of newsgroup. Aren't there special newsgroups for posting those huge files to?

For a Seinfeld WAV, I can think of no more appropriate place to post it than alt.tv.seinfeld. The inconvenience users who download 1st, etc. experience is the price they pay for the convenience of doing such offline. Hey, this isn't really a big deal to me. I just thought it was a stretch to call someone who posted a big WAV file rude. Think of the effort they put into it? BTW, I am defending this person, but I would like to mention that I did not do it.
