It's just sitcom TV, but for a popular show there have been some disturbing situations:
Jerry gives his date pills and alcohol to play with her vintage toys, George loads Elaine up with Schapps to pry a secret from her.
Next thing you know, someone slips that "date rape" drug on Elaine to get past the platonic stage of the relationship (probably Newman, who harbors a secret crush on her but has no chance whatsoever). Is this a trend anyone else is picking up on?
Did you forget George slips an ex-Boss a Mickey to avenge his firing?
How about all the pain pills Elaine took in Florida to ease back pain STELLA?
What about all the laughing gas used by the sexually perverted dentist to sedate his patients?
And I don't think anyone has to slip Elaine a "date rape" drug - not a woman with a closet full of sponges. :-)

Are you clueless? The jokes in that episode even acknowledged that they were "violating" her by getting her drunk to play with her toys. Kramer said it was wrong, that Jerry had slipped to a new low. George said "you gotta get me in there" as if it were a gang-bang. His date even said "those hands of yours, always busy!" The writers were JOKING, making an analogy to sex: Jerry would rather play with his date's toys than her.
Because he knew the "combination" to "the vault". It was a funny way to extend the whole "vault" joke. Also note that when Jerry gets her drunk, he doesn't take advantage of her, even though she was coming on to him.
No. I don't see a date rape popping up on the show. I doubt that could be made funny. I don't know where you got that from. Sounds like you've got a sick mind.
I agree. At times I felt very uncomfortable watching the episode where Jerry uses wine to drug his girlfriend. I think that may have been taking things much too far.
I don't see this as a trend! As a woman all I have to say is I have never gotten upset about the way women are treated on the show. Anyway do you honestly think that Elaine would get raped? This is SEINFELD not a 90210 episode!
