Was this an episode or was I dreaming?

I've been watching Seinfeld since its start and don't think I've missed more than ten episodes in all those years. This is the first time I've read this newsgroup, however, and wonder if anyone remembers an episode (one of the first) where Jerry is playing cards (vague memory of what he's actually doing) with some guys (?) and he's looking like a penis. Whenever he thinks of a particular woman he gets larger, and then returns to normal size.

Was there really such an episode, or did I dream this? If this was a dream, maybe I'd better apply for a writer's job for this show!

He made an analogy to the situation being similar to his penis playing chess against his brain. Later in the episdoe, when the woman is practicing her lines with Jerry, at the table behind the couch, Jerry is shown both dressed as his brain and as his penis, playing chess with each other, as he tries to decide whether to break up with her or not.

In an episode called The Nose Job, Jerry plays chess with himself. He is currently dating an intellectually vacuous, but gorgeous woman (played by Tawny ?) who he finds utterly shallow but sexually irresistable. To decide whether or not he should stay with Tanya, Jerry's mind (represented as Jerry wearing a brain costume) play's his penis (represented as Jerry dressed all in flesh color, wearing a soldier helmet) in an imaginary chess game. Jerry's mind wins.

No, you aren't dreaming. It was Jerry the Brain Vs. Jerry the Penis in a chess match (I believe). Jerry the Brain wasn't attracted to the woman and wanted to dump her but Jerry the Penis wanted to stay with her for the sex. Somebody else will have to help with the real plot that is all I can remember.

i could be wrong, but i think you're thinking of the "penis vs. brain" episode. jerry is dating a beautiful buxom women who he finds perfect...except for one thing: he can't stand her because she gets on his nerves. later in the episode he explains to george that he is sexually attracted to her, but he can't stand to be around her. he says something like "It's like a chess match between by penis and my brain." later in the episode, she is at jerry's place and she want's him to read lines from a screenplay with her (she's an aspiring actress). jerry becomes consumed with disgust and the camera pans to a dream sequence where there are two jerrys across the table from each other with a chess board in between. the viewer can only see from about midrift up because they're seated and each has a flesh colored shirt on. where they differ is that one of the jerry's has a hat that looks like a brain and the other jerry has a penis-shaped hat. it was kind of mushroom-shaped, totally hilarious.
