The show is getting to be like the class clown in sophomore class; hilarious at first, then only mildly amusing (now) and soon to be Annoying (as next year would have been) Jerry made a great move getting out now-great timing is what makes a great comic----
Bull shit man. That Jacket at the end produced at least 2 laughs. "So you're going to be wearing that from now on?" "All signs point to yes!" Then Elaine trying to get out of buying the fur coat. That whole coffee shop scene had some good lines. blah wrote in message ...

On the contrary, last night's show was a classic! For once since the season's beginning it didn't always seem like the writers were trying too hard. Each character was at its best. I was laughing from beginning to end. I love Elaine and she was hilarious in this episode. Favorite parts: when Kramer dropped his cigar and put it back in his mouths the wrong way plus all his facial expressions. Elaine's reaction when she sees Putty in that coat. the coat. Jerry in that coat. The purse. The part where Newman and Elaine are together. The kind of episode that makes you sad to think that there are only about 10 left...

Worst ever?? Hell no. "The Reverse Peephole" is the best of the season and probably one of the best in a long time. I really don't see what those people who didn't like it thought was bad about it. Last nights episode reminded me of some of the older ones and everyone seemed like their normal selves. Ten million times better than The Dealership.
Oh yeah, all those people who didn't like George's role last night, he had the best line in the whole thing. "I LIED TO YOU FOR 3 DAYS, NOW YOU'RE ALL SCREWING ME!" next came Elaine's explanation of how she shouldn't be responsible even though she was (loved George's and Jerry's reactions) and when Newman said "But I am in love with another man's wife!" And Kramer wasn't stuck in a dumb subplot. Overall a great episode. I just hope the final ten get better by the week.
One other thing, I think that NBC deal about there being "ONLY 11 EPISODES LEFT" is a bit accessive. But hey, its working.

Who's idea is it to introduce new character traits to nine-year old characters like they've been there all along. George talked about this goddamn wallet he has in his pocket like he's been carrying it around since he was in High School. We never saw it before, so why is it being handled like its been here since the pilot? Who are these writers trying to fool? Not us, I hope. If you want a storyline based on a big-fat wallet, introduce it like they did the purse. It is a new thing and it was treated as such. This show is really heading facefirst into a pile of shit. The talent themselves (Jerry, Jason, Julia, Michael) are the only ones who can pick it up and they better start trying soon.
Enough lurking on this NewsGroup... time to speak up... and quick!
We're all saying that Seinfeld's been slipping...
...that George is overacting... ...Elaine's hair is morphing into cataclysmic crappage... ...Puddy has seen his 15 minutes of fame, and should be excised and exorcised...(some exercise wouldn't be so bad either) ...Kramer's acting is more over-the-top than his hair... ...Newman's poundage and moonlighting on 3rd cock from my son is heinous...
and that Jerry couldn't write his way out of a commercial without Larry David.
This is ALL true and then some.
I've been following Georgie boy for 9 seasons now... he's a cheap fuck. He NEVER brings his wallet... all of a sudden he has one with more shit than a cesspool... what up wit dat...
Did ANYONE else notice Jerry's coat and purse was a DIRECT RIPOFF from the episode where Kramer's a MACK DADDY, with the robe, hat, cane and pimpmobile?
DISGRACEFUL...
Your comments are welcome, even if you aren't...

Well you gotta know that George didn't have much money in that wallet. It was like a "Filing cabinet". And how do we know he never brings his wallet? Just because they never mentioned it before doesn't mean it didn't exist. Just like the thing with Newman. We know he has a first/last name, but we've never been informed on what it is.
I gotta agree with those who think the wallet was outta the blue. I mean, yes, we know Newman has a first (or a last) name. But I am sure George has pulled out his wallet before and it was normal sized. I KNOW I have seen it before.
But it was even sadder seeing them resort to a stupid plot device, a dumb site gag without a satisfying punchline (the one they used was dumb).
And I'm not one of those "Seinfeld's heyday is over" people. I just think the past few episodes have been forced and unfunny. The fact that Putty is still on the show (he must be the Billy Preston of Seinfeld or something) should indicate that they are out of ideas.

I've only been reading this news group for about a month and everyone seemed to really watch Seinfeld. What is the deal with the wallet though, "cheap George" has been pulling out his wallet for so long, it is really obvious this is a new addition. Why is everyone so confused about this? His wallet has always been very thin!
Although there have been better shows, I will always like every Seinfeld! I don't care who wrote it or which season it aired!

Hah! That's supposed to be funny right? Jerry himself admitted that there has been a few bad episodes...some from this year and some from the early 1990s. You're not being honest if you really think that there's never been a bad episode. And, I know for a fact that you're not being honest, YOU ALREADY TOLD ME by e-mail that you thought some of the early episodes were pretty bad, you're just afraid to admit it.
Also, why do you bother posting your reviews of the new episodes? It's quite obvious that you're going to love every word and scene that is ever shown on Seinfeld no matter what. Here, i'll save you some time....
10th last episode..A classic! 9th last episode...ROFL! Give George an Emmy!!!!!! 8th last episode...An instant classic! LOL!!!! 7th last episode...ROFLMAO!!!....I love you Jerry! 6th last episode...Send this one to the Smithsonian!!!!!! 5th last episode...Better than the last episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4th last episode...Pretty dumb, but I still LOLed the whole episode! 3rd last episode...Another instant classic! Gotta love the Sein! 2nd last episode...The best episode since "The Blood"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last episode ever....Kill me now and I will die happy man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now here's what everyone else will write about the final 10 episodes
10th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 9th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 8th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 7th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 6th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 5th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 4th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 3th last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? 2nd last episode: WORST ONE EVER???? LAST EPISODE EVER: WORST ONE EVER????
I'm gonna bet the highest bill I have (5 bucks) that at least one of these posts will show up during the final ten Seinfelds.

Granted that there have been a few stinkers over the life of the show, (the backwards episode). I generally like all the shows and enjoy the subtle humor of shows that I notice people saying that they absolutely hate.
Seinfeld has given us all a lot of laughs, and I think that just because it is winding down, we shouldn't dump on it, we should say that Jerry made the correct decision to end the show before it gets absolutely terrible (anyone like the last few episodes of Roseanne). Other shows have to be taken out behind the shed and shot like rabid dogs before they get the clue that the show sucks.

So let me get this straight...every plot device relating to the main characters (that's only hmmm, let me think, EVERY SINGLE ONE) had to be revealed in the first episodes. Why even bother to have new episodes if we can't have something new pop up. Oh I forget, some people can't deal with a little change. It's called a plot device you idiot.

The bubble boy episode was on in syndication recently. Doesn't George pull out a wallet to pay for something in the coffee shop? And it's not even close to being overstuffed.

You are living in denial. Every time I have a conversation about Seinfeld lately, it eventually winds its way to the acceptance that the show has taken a huge nosedive this season. People talk about Seinfeld now even if the shows are bad because its a national phenomenon. It does NOT mean the shows are still of the same quality as the past seasons. How many people on this newsgroup will have to complain about the nosedive until the rest of you finally admit that there must be something to it.
Hey, I'm one of the people who admit that the 9th season isn't nearly as good as past seasons. But I really thought that The Reverse Peephole was really good and really funny. But some people just put on that "Seinfeld downfall" mentality and they just try not to laugh at everything. I just talked to some buddies over by the watercooler and they say that "The Reverse Peephole" was the best of the season and they hoped that the final ten will continually get better.
